On Friday, December 15, at 12 noon, in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Mathematics, the conference "The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and Antoni Zygmund's Conjecture" will be given by the recently invested Doctor Honoris Causa for the UMU Antonio Córdoba, professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
Córdoba's research has been developed in the fields of Number Theory, Harmonic Analysis and Partial Derivative Equations.
The activity constitutes a special edition of the Mathematics seminar of the University of Murcia, and will deal with the recent solution of a conjecture formulated by Zygmund in 1935 that has been attempted to be deciphered by harmonic analysts for decades.
