The Great Tree of the Circular Plaza expands its leisure and entertainment offer for these Christmas holidays, thanks to the collaboration between the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, Employment, Tourism and Culture and Sports and Health .

Starting tomorrow and until January 5, Murcia and visitors will be able to enjoy free of charge an ecological ice rink, with zero energy consumption and zero water consumption, making it 100% sustainable and offering a perfect sensation of ice conventional

This new facility occupies an area of ​​160 square meters and its schedule will be the same as that of the other activities of the Big Tree, from 11.30 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 7.30 pm,

This ice rink is a saving compared to a conventional one with the same measures of 4 tons of CO2, 4,000 liters of diesel, 18,000 liters of water and 20,150 kW of electricity in a period of three weeks in operation.

In this way, different activities such as ice skating initiation workshops and ice hockey initiation workshops will be offered.

Xtra Ice, a world leader company, present in 80 countries, and responsible for the tracks of Disney and the NHL, has been responsible for its installation.

Thus, the great Christmas tree returns once again to offer an extensive program for the enjoyment of children and now this ice rink joins the more than 300 organized activities, such as winter sports, games, workshops, performances for the whole family, a great Birth, the Royal Mailbox and audiovisual shows during all the holidays.

Specifically, storytelling (also bilingual), dances, theater and Christmas magic, workshops of Christmas decorations, socks and cards, Christmas cookies masterclass, muffins, sweets and rolls of mistela, painting, light ornaments, pintacaras, balloon twisting have been organized , puzzles, tree plantations ...

To all this we must add the audiovisual shows that are also daily, from December 6 to 21, at 8:00 p.m., and from December 22 to January 6 there will be two passes: at 8:00 p.m. and at 9:30 p.m.

There is also a Paje Real Solidarity Point in which all the children who wish may donate their toys so that other children in the municipality can enjoy them in exchange for doubloons of chocolate.
