The Cloister of the University of Murcia, which will meet today, December 14, in ordinary session, from 5:00 pm, is expected to know the report of the rector, José Orihuela, and the Defender of the University, José Palazón, as well as studying the proposals for the award of five honorary doctorates.

These proposals refer to the awarding of this academic distinction to businessmen Tomás Fuertes Fernández and Patricio Valverde Espín and Robert Sackstein (Medicine), Walter Schachermayer (Mathematics) and María Antonia Blasco (Biology).

During the session, which will be held at the Paraninfo, La Merced campus, the University Report will be presented regarding the academic year 2016-2017 and the plan of actions for the 2017-2018 academic year.
