The Councilor for Finance and Recruitment, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, has explained to the councilman of Cambiemos Murcia Sergio Ramos that "the orders of closure of municipal accounts do not obey to political criteria but are established by municipal services, specifically by the Treasury and Intervention ".
"They are carried out according to criteria of prudence to give sufficient time to introduce all the invoices that accumulate at the end of the year into the municipal accounts".
According to Martínez-Oliva, "the fiscal year ends on December 31 and the Treasury and Intervention services work during this last month of the year both in morning and evening hours to be able to account for the highest number of invoices."
"All public administrations set a deadline for the admission of invoices This year, the City of Murcia has extended it with respect to the previous one by express request of this councilor but the services involved have said that it can not be extended even one more day term".
The councilor added that "in any case, all municipal boards and services have this closure order for a month so they are aware enough time to date can submit invoices"
Martínez-Oliva concluded by saying that "Mr. Ramos should not try to do politics with everything because there are issues that are outside of which person or which party directs an administration at a given time."
