On Wednesday, December 13, in the Mariano Baquero Degrees Room of the Faculty of Letters, at 7:00 pm, the book "Images of a War: Approach to the Canton of Cartagena and its iconographic representation", by Raúl Morales Sanes, will be presented. published by Editum, the Publications Service of the University of Murcia.
The Cantonal Revolution of Cartagena, which took place between 1873 and 1874, attracted all eyes.
The main newspapers of the national and international press put the magnifying glass in Cartagena, and retransmitieron the day to day of the war by means of eloquent images directed to make visible the fight and the suffering of its people.
The book is an exhaustive compilation of the images of the conflict, constituting a catalog that aims to convey to the reader the days of that revolution and make him attend the main episodes of the cantonal war through engravings that constitute a unique legacy to understand that event.
