Murcia opens a new space to enhance the activity of entrepreneurs in the municipality.
The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, and the Councilor for Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, opened this morning the Business and Services Business Center Plaza Circular 1, located on the lower property of the City Council.
This nursery was born as a commercial area for entrepreneurs and has, among others, products from the fashion sector, accessories, cosmetics, children, food, technology, culture, crafts, gifts ... In addition, those who want to offer tastings of their products will participate. products and also with business projects from the Cultural and Creative Industries sector that will be able to make their presentations.
The projects participating in the premiere of this new municipal installation are Mar de amores (sale and advice of products for the portering of babies);
Kakuiim (articles and gifts for babies);
Vinecomur (promotion and marketing of ecological wines from Murcia);
Hardest Clothing (artistic screen printing);
Ise Soldevila (artisan jewelry);
Orgullowine (wine);
Acho (chips, olives, snacks);
Ginelos (handbags, accessories and leather jewelery) and Girón Mesas (musical training and events).
The space, located at number 1 of the Plaza Circular, consists of about 120 square meters distributed in three spaces: entrance, an intermediate zone and the interior or background.
The place lends itself to accommodate both service and commercial activities, preferably that they elaborate, sell or exhibit their own products.
Business hours will be from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8.30 pm
This new facility will be managed by the CIM-M and will be regulated by its regulations, allowing entrepreneurs and companies to gain experience promoting their business and, where appropriate, making their first contact with customers.
Councilman Jesus Pacheco explained that "this proposal aims to enhance local trade by accelerating the growth of new projects as a key element and backbone of the growth of the city, allowing with this experience that entrepreneurs are subsequently located in retail stores. the city or districts, revitalizing the citizen spaces ".
Plaza Circular 1 is an initiative of the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture of the City of Murcia that has the collaboration of the Department of Commerce and the Project as an Entrepreneurial Business Area is identifying with the brand MUAC, as an initiative that serves as a quarry for the creation of new proximity stores in the Municipality.
In this way, the objectives are to favor the location of business initiatives of a commercial nature and / or services, promoted by new entrepreneurs, self-employed workers and small businesses and the creation of employment in the commerce and services sector.
Likewise, innovation and quality in this sector are promoted and the commerce of the city, districts and its surroundings is revitalized, through the diversification of its offer, accelerating the incorporation of new promoters that provide new services and activities, which may arrive to be part, in the future, of the commercial offer of the municipality.
It also offers advice, business orientation and support, as well as specialized training, to business initiatives that are located in it.
The stay will be initially to cover the Christmas period and work is already underway to identify the rest of the Business Projects that will be incorporated after that first period, and those will be those that are hosted in the CIM-M and aim to achieve greater visibility.
Pacheco explained that "we have launched a plan to detect other municipal spaces susceptible to being used as business incubators, assigning them to the Center for Municipal Initiatives (CIM-M), so that they are part of the initiative to promote new companies, as Circular Plaza 1 "
Activity of the CIM-M
These "Other Business Incubators" are added to the City Council's (CIM-M), which has been consolidated as a Center for Entrepreneurs of the Municipality.
There are already more than 40 companies that have gone through the offices that are offered and up to 50 business projects have been incubated in it and have ended up being constituted as companies.
Currently, it already has 412 non-hosted members
This year 2017 there have been 5,400 visits to the CIM-M, of which 2,400 have been assistants to participate in programs, conferences and actions that have been held there.
In addition, training sessions have also been promoted in other municipal spaces, such as Molinos del Río, Teatro Circo, Romea Theater, City Museum, Science Museum, García Alix Center, generating this network of spaces at the service of Murcian entrepreneurs
