The Moneo building hosted this morning the celebration of the last Board of Directors of the year of Mercamurcia, the reference agro-alimentary logistics distribution center of the Spanish southeast.
The work meeting was chaired by the Mayor José Ballesta and it was informed about the extension of the parking 24 hours for trucks, reaching a total of 45 places.
In addition, the progress of the Food Unit was analyzed in which it is worth highlighting the good results of the Fruit and Vegetable Markets with an increase of 2% in the volume of commercialization and of Flowers, with an increase of 3% until the month of October.
Among the topics discussed is the presentation of the Mercamurcia Strategic Plan for the next 5 years.
This Plan, after analyzing the current situation and carrying out a strategic diagnosis, establishes four major objectives that will be achieved through a detailed Action Plan.
These objectives are to strengthen the brand by linking it to the 'Quality of Products and Services', to convert Mercamurcia into a specialized Food Logistics Distribution Center, to strengthen the Cárnico Complex as a benchmark of national scope, with export projection, as well as to convert Mercamurcia into Referent company with respect to the Corporate Social Responsibility when contributing to the social, economic and environmental improvement of the society of Murcia.
