Murcia change has demanded today the City Council to act "urgently" and ordered the withdrawal of the crane-tower installed for about ten years inside an abandoned building in Los Dolores, next to the school and a daycare center.
The member of the training in the parish, Mercedes Nicolás, explained that the crane, located on Flores Street and inactive since 2014, when the construction of the building belonging to Solvia, of Banco Sabadell, was halted, represents a "danger" for the pedestrians
Especially, Nicolás added, for Enrique Laborda school students, since the fixed arm is on the access area and part of the school's playground.
The school itself asked the Department of Urban Planning for the state of the abandoned structure and this informed him that an infringement file had been initiated in 2014. In addition, the head of Urban Planning came to assure the media that he would visit the works and adopt the appropriate measures.
However, today "we do not know if there has been any monitoring of the state of deterioration of the materials that make up the base of the crane" and the structure remains in the same place.
