Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, participated this afternoon in the march 'Holy Spirit.
Take care of it, it is your Neighborhood ', which has left the door of the Murcia Norte Municipal Social Services Center with the aim of raising awareness among the residents of this area of ​​the municipality about the good use that should be given to the neighborhood environment.
An activity that is part of different municipal and collective projects that the Department of Social Rights develops, and which seeks to identify children and real problem of their environment and plan a set of actions to solve it.
On this occasion, it is carried out in collaboration with the Road Cleaning and Waste Management Service, under the Department of Development, which runs Roque Ortiz, and with Ferrovial Servicios.
"It seeks to transfer the learning made in the classroom to reality in the form of action.
Children are the ones who investigate from their own interests and concerns, in this way their talents and social capacities are fostered.
They are the future of the Holy Spirit, "stressed the councilor.
"The objective of this march is none other than to develop in the children the attitudes, skills and values ​​necessary to protect and respect their neighborhood, encouraging the growth of this area of ​​the north of the municipality.
The learning and service project that is intended to be implemented seeks to develop civic awareness, cleaning and care of the neighborhood in the minors, making them share in its care and value, "added Councilor Conchita Ruiz.
Among the specific objectives pursued with this action are the following:
- Acquire awareness of the need to have a clean and beautiful neighborhood.
- Know what are the civic behaviors: use of wastebaskets, containers, respect the rest hours of neighbors and collect excrement from pets.
- Sensitize neighbors to the importance of putting these civic behavior into practice.
- Carry out an active participation in care and cleaning.
- Increase the feeling of belonging to the neighborhood.
An activity in which members of the Center for Social Services and Community Action Murcia North, the Urban Project "Holy Spirit", the Project Cyber ​​Classroom "We left when leaving class", the Youth Project of Espinardo, as well as the Department of Development.
