The Governing Board has given its approval to the subsidy to drivers of auto-taxis with the aim of improving the accessibility of public transport in the municipality and offering adapted vehicles to people with disabilities.
Thus, aid has been approved in the amount of 156,742 euros to a total of 41 taxi drivers with vehicles adapted to finance the increases in operating costs, such as fuel consumption, cost of repairs of ramps, safety harness and change of wheels, as well as as of the compulsory passenger repair and insurance services
Likewise, a subsidy amounting to 34,500 euros has been granted to six taxi drivers who have acquired or transformed their vehicles, taxis.
Murcia account currently has 42 adapted taxis, which represents 17% of the total fleet.
