The Joint Commission between the Murcian Health Service and the University of Murcia, meeting today in the building of the Rectorate, has reached an agreement for the provision of clinical headquarters of hospitals linked to the teaching institution.
The meeting was attended by, among others, the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas García, the managing director of the SMS Asensio López, the Rector José Orihuela, Miguel García Salom and David Armero, deans of Medicine and Nursing of the UMU, as well as Other senior officials of both institutions.
The agreement, specified in twelve points, foresees, among other issues, the possibility that the UMU proposes for its connection those headings "of special academic interest", including those whose call it is foreseen to publish shortly.
In addition, the merits of the contestants will be assessed by a singular and differentiated scale of the preceding phases, which will be agreed upon by the Mixed Committee itself.
The agreement also indicates that in the composition of the valuation commissions, the presence of UMU faculty is guaranteed.
On the other hand, the SMS will develop a new scale for competitions of places not qualified as "of special academic interest", which will strengthen the assessment of teaching management and academic and research merits.
Likewise, the SMS is committed to finding solutions so that the linked personnel are not excluded from the calls for the provision of head offices.
