The Board of Government of the City of Murcia has given the green light, during its weekly meeting, a collaboration agreement with the entity "Cáritas Diocesana" within the commitment acquired for collaboration with social entities and their projects for the benefit of the most disadvantaged .
It is a game of 225,000 euros, "an important aid that from Social Rights is given to this charitable association and that, for example, will allow the work of the CAYAM school to continue, a space where programs of accompaniment of adults, work orientation, repairs classroom, kitchen classrooms, cleaning classrooms, accompaniment of minors, school reinforcement, nursery school, mutual support for the upbringing, accompaniment of young people and classroom bread, "stressed Conchita Ruiz.
In this way, the Department of Social Rights directed by Conchita Ruiz grants a grant for the execution of its project "Actions to fight against poverty and exclusion in the municipality of Murcia", whose goal is to ensure the exercise of social rights to people in situations of poverty and social exclusion residing in the city of Murcia, who go to Cáritas Murcia.
It is a project broken down into three blocks:
Cayam Children's School serving 45 children aged between one and three years.
Residential Sheltered Homes, with a number of 8 homes located in the municipality of Murcia, with 67 places of welcome, and an estimate of welcome for the year 2017 of 130 people.
Welcoming and Social Accompaniment Service, aimed at people in situations of severe poverty with limitations for the coverage of their basic needs or decent housing, in processes of social accompaniment, in which it is estimated that in the year 2017 some 4,000 people will be attended.
