The municipal Plenary has approved an institutional declaration to initiate the file so that the Encuentro de Cuadrillas, better known as 'Las pelotas de Patiño', will be declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
According to the statement, this event, which is held every January, "is every year better welcomed by the people of the entire Region who flock to this celebration where the folklore of Murcia is displayed in its different variations according to the place of belonging to each gang. "
