The Catholic University of Murcia, through OPRI and the research group 'Digitalac', has launched the Creative Europe project 'Tele-Encounters', which aims to bring society closer to the immigrant family through of the immersive reality
The research group 'Digitalac', from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at UCAM, has started working on the 'Tele-Encounters' project www.tele-encounters.com in an international meeting that took place in Romania , together with the company 'Teatrul Dramatic George Ciprian' (Romania) and personalities of the municipality of Lousada (Portugal), partners of the project.
"The main idea is to investigate the family relationships of people who are forced to emigrate to another country, trying to involve viewers with an immersive audiovisual reality" said Pablo Cano, responsible for the project in Spain.
The researchers of this project, managed by the International Projects Office (OPRI) of the UCAM, through personal interviews with different immigrants, have become aware of the personal experiences of this group, which will take the form of a play and a set of short films.
The innovation of this theatrical work is reflected in the simultaneous virtual interaction between the actors located in two different spaces: a Spanish and a Romanian theater.
In addition, the set of short films will be exhibited through immersive reality devices that will show the realities in the family environment that these people face.
