The Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Murcia (UMU) has hosted the presentation of a conference on "Economy of the common good, a business model for the future", and a Conference on Sustainable Development Goals.
The first activity, which was promoted by the chairs of Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility, was in charge of the graduate in Political Science and Sociology Teresa Gómez-Pastrana.
The speaker pointed out that applying the principles of the Economy of the Common Good is "working for an economy with conscience, given that it is a way of facing the collapse of the planet, putting ecology first, and then economics, counterposing sustainability local to global unsustainability. "
As for the Conference, it was organized by the Master of Economic Development and International Cooperation, and had a conference by Ignacio Martínez, member of the collective La Mundial and the Board of Directors of the Spanish Network of Development Studies, and with a round table in which several specialists took part.
On the occasion of the Conference, an itinerant exhibition on "The Objectives of Sustainable Development" was installed in the aforementioned faculty
