On November 30 and December 1, the University of Murcia, through the International Art and Freedom Seminar, will honor the writer Carmen de Burgos (known as Colombine).
Carmen de Burgos, an activist for women's rights in Spain, is also considered the first female professional journalist in our country.
The tribute will take place in the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Letters of the UMU.
On Thursday, November 30 will begin at 9'30 in the morning, with lectures by professors and experts from the University of Murcia, Complutense, Sheffield, National Library and Official College of Journalists of the Region of Murcia, which will address various aspects of the life and the work of this writer.
At 20:00 the book "Multiple Modernities, Carmen de Burgos, author and activist", by A. Louis.
On Friday, December 1, the day will begin at 10 am with various presentations on her activity as a narrator, editor or traveler.
The tribute will end at 8:00 pm with a dramatized reading of selected fragments of the author's works.
