The Faculty of Nursing of the University of Murcia has been distinguished with the Special Mention of the International Day for the Elimination of violence against women, granted by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Region of Murcia.
The mention was given "for his involvement in the fight against gender violence, promoting different teaching, research and dissemination activities that demonstrate his commitment to eradicating this social scourge."
The contributions of the Faculty of Nursing of the UMU are very numerous in this matter, highlighting its Master of "Health, Women and Care", as well as numerous investigations and the inclusion of this subject in the subjects for the new generation of nursing professionals .
The faculty has also organized various awareness and dissemination activities, and has published numerous articles and end-of-career projects and practices related to the prevention and care of women victims of gender violence.
For years, the faculty of Nursing performs different teaching, research and dissemination activities that demonstrate its commitment and that of all its staff (Students, Faculty, Administration and Services Staff), with the eradication of gender violence in all its forms.
