The Murcia hamlet of Cabezo de Torres has welcomed today the opening of the street of 'The Parrandboleros', a festive event that has counted the presence of the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the Councilor for Trade, Organization and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, and hundreds of neighbors and friends.
The mayor said "with this gesture, the City of Murcia wants to recognize the artistic and human career of this group that not only stands out for being one of the best international exponents of Latin popular music, but also for their commitment and constant involvement with the solidarity causes ".
Also, José Ballesta said that "with its serenades, boleros and parrandas, this group that was born 19 years ago bears the name of Murcia all over the world" and "because of its quality and artistic criteria have become an essential part of the Murcian songbook , accompanying us on the most important occasions of the city, as they did in 2015 offering the Opening of the September Fair ".
The street Los Parrandboleros, located in confluence with the street Salesiano Paco Silvestre de Cabezo de Torres, was blessed by the Salesian father Manuel Belvez.
The group itself put the finishing touch to the opening ceremony with a festive performance that included the interpretation of its most popular themes.
