The mayor Carlos Peñafiel asks the councilman of Culture to assume its political responsibility during the meeting of the Board of Trustees held today before the accumulation of irregularities committed in this process that could be constitutive of crime
Councilman Carlos Peñafiel Citizens today called for the resignation of the mayor of Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, for his management in front of the staff of the Ramón Gaya Museum.
According to the orange councilor, Carlos Peñafiel, "the payment of more than 24,000 euros irregularly in Social Security concept has been the icing on the cake of the accumulation of irregularities committed since last February 1, date in which it was subrogated to the workers of this museum. "
"Actions that", according to Peñafiel, "could incur in a possible embezzlement of public funds, as it has ratified today the Municipal Auditor during the meeting of the Board".
The claim to annul these payments, said the mayor of Cs, would imply that the City Council, once again, have to assume another penalty to be forced to pay in the future surcharges and late payment interest Social Security fees of the subrogations made, apparently, in an irregular manner;
as established by the report of the municipal secretary.
"To this fact would be added", according to Peñafiel, "the possibility that the Social Security may end up seizing the City Council and the Ramón Gaya Museum if these quotas, in the event of being annulled, are not reinstated within a reasonable period of time of time".
"A cluster of irregularities by the PP that," according to the mayor of Citizens, "could have been avoided if the local government, with Pacheco at the head, had acted responsibly, assuming from the beginning the illegal cession and warnings made from the Intervention, the municipal secretary and our political group for more than a year ".
