The Municipal Socialist Group today has blamed the PP of the "long and gruesome conflict" with the workers of the Ramón Gaya Museum, who continue to fulfill their work obligations although they have not been paid since the beginning of the year.
In this regard, Councilor Begoña García Retegui, who participated this morning in the meeting of the Board of the Ramón Gaya Museum, affirms that "we are at this point due to the corrupt management of the PP for more than 20 years, which has tied us up and hands to the members of this Board and blocks the resolution of this conflict. "
In this regard, clarifies that "right now we have to face an important dilemma, the secretary of the House warns us that if payroll are paid we commit an illegality, but if we proceed to dismiss the act of conciliation that recognized them as workers" .
The councilor adds that "everything that is happening is a consequence of a lack of legality assumed by the City Council for decades and that workers of the Ramón Gaya Museum are paying" and informs that today the decision has been taken to refer to the Legal Council of the Region of Murcia the discrepancies between the services of the City Council, "unable to be unanimous in giving a definitive answer to the great existing labor problem".
Likewise, García Retegui stated that "our bitter complaint is that for months within the Board we proposed that this discrepancy of the municipal services be transferred to the General Directorate of the Local Administration of the Autonomous Community and to the Legal Council of the Region with the purpose of being able to pay payroll to some workers hired by the Museum since February on the basis of an act of conciliation, which at that time was favorably informed by the legal services of the City Council and that was not denounced in time and form by any other body , so we consider that he has become an executive. "
For all this, criticizes that these workers are uncollected, but neither "we will accept that they are dismissed and dismissed from Social Security" and describes as "bleeding that this conflict is still not resolved and that municipal services are not they have already processed it with all the necessary urgency.
