The Department of Youth, which directs Rebeca Perez tonight organizes the Youth Exchange Party in collaboration with teenagers who have been part of the twenty-first edition of the Municipal Exchange Plan 2017. An act that will take place at 20:00 hours in The Institute of Secondary Education Licensed Francisco Cascales and in which young people will participate in a very special way.
The meeting is intended, on the one hand, for the young participants in the Municipal Youth Exchange Campaign of summer 2017, who will be able to remember the experiences lived in their respective exchanges with their fellow participants and those responsible for the groups and
But also, "we intend to open this event to the groups of the Language Club of the 2017-2018 academic year, in order to show them all the activities that take place during the summers so that they can see in the first person and in a very close and real possibility of participating in these activities ", highlights the Councilor for Youth.
"With this type of acts we continue fighting that the youth has the prominence that it deserves, seeking to remember their emotions, remembering images and moments, and transmitting it not only to the rest of the participants but also to other young people who still do not know the exchanges", Rebeca Pérez explained.
During the meeting all the groups will present their different exchanges in a varied way (performance, video, music ...), a projection of a video and photographs of the activities will be offered, some photographic panels summarizing the acts carried out during the summer and a percussion activity in which all the participants of the event will be actively involved in the show.
Municipal Plan of Exchanges
The Municipal Exchange Plan is an activity that offers young people the opportunity to participate, for a short period of time and together with young people from other countries, in European projects, to share experiences, enrich the personal idea of ​​Europe as a group of cultures and open up to new perspectives.
Its main objectives are to eliminate barriers to youth mobility, bring young people to other cultures from their own experience;
give the possibility of participating in cultural, artistic, environmental, sports activities, etc., in other countries, make possible the knowledge of the youthful reality of other countries and favor respect for different cultures and customs.
The European Union finances a fixed amount per participant to cover part of the costs of the trip and the City Council also contributes an amount of the expenses, in order that the final price is accessible to the greatest number of young people and thus guarantee the accessibility of the program to citizens with fewer opportunities.
During the months of July, August and September, a total of 13 exchanges have taken place in which a total of 110 young Murcians have participated.
It is intended for young people of the municipality of Murcia aged between 12 and 25 years.
This year, participants have been able to travel to Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Germany, Finland, Romania, Italy, and Cyprus
This program has celebrated its XXI edition this year with great success of participation since it has allowed young people to know different countries of the European Union through coexistence with other young people and put into practice their knowledge of languages, at the same time as it allows the exchange of ideas on those topics of common interest with other young people, encouraging group work and collaboration among equals, acting as ambassadors for Murcia in other countries.
These activities are part of the Erasmus + program, and thanks to the contribution of the City of Murcia has been able to reach many more young people.
