Antonio Navarro, Councilor for Urban Planning, Environment and Garden, this morning addressed the meeting of the Sectoral Council on Noise to present the declaration of special acoustic protection zones (ZPAE), its geographical delimitation and measurements of the zonal plans of each of them as a result of the results of leisure noise map of the municipality of Murcia.
In this working document, general and specific measures have been proposed for the ZPAE, summarized in three: San Pedro, a second zone of the University and Alfonso X, and a third corresponding to San Lorenzo, Santa Eulalia and San Juan, this It is done to recover the acoustic quality objectives.
Among the general ones, there is an increase in police presence or continuous monitoring through a network of acoustic sensors to observe the evolution of noise levels.
In addition, the consumption and issuance of drinks on the street and the stay of customers abroad, outside the authorized terraces and prohibiting the installation of vending machines of any product on public roads, is prohibited in general.
Citizen awareness activities will be promoted by the locals, who will put on their facades posters identifying the Special Acoustic Protection Zone.
In these general measures, there are also specific rules for night time that begins after 10 pm.
Specific and specific measures are established in each zone of special acoustic protection, in the places where the noise has been exceeded, such as the reduction of schedules and the space occupied by tables and chairs.
Another of these measures is the proposal in the Plaza de la Universidad, in which it is proposed to limit outdoor activities.
With this first proposal, all the agents that form part of this commission (political groups, professional associations, associations, etc.) may submit suggestions within one month before initiating their official processing.
A new meeting will be held before final approval to reach the maximum consensus.
