José Ballesta assesses with "thanks, transparency and responsibility" the Burial Tracking Commission (16/11/2017)

"This responsibility does not cease with the start of the works but will continue day by day in the permanent monitoring of the work and compliance with all deadlines and commitments," said the mayor.

The global action involves an injection of 600 million euros, "the largest investment ever made in the history of this city and of this Region, and whose real purpose is to eliminate barriers and generate social and economic progress in Murcia neighborhoods" said Ballesta.

"Appreciation, transparency and responsibility" are the three adjectives with which the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, has evaluated the Social Commission of Follow-up of the Underground Works of the Railway in Murcia, a working meeting that was attended by the president of Adif, Juan Bravo, the delegate of the Government, Francisco Bernabé, the counselor of the Presidency and Development, Pedro Rivera, the spokespersons of the municipal groups of the City Council and representatives of the Murcian civil society.

José Ballesta expressed his "gratitude to Adif, who has come back to Murcia to explain what his projects and realities are, and thanks to all the good-faith Murcians who for so long have been waiting and trusting in these burial works that, from yesterday, they are already a reality, since they are working on them ".

In second place, the councilor highlighted the "transparency" of this Monitoring Commission.

"In the last Social Council of the City a week ago the unions requested their incorporation to this table and today they have been here, so that practically all of Murcia's civil society is part of this Commission of the Underground Works" .

Finally, the mayor referred to "responsibility".

"Two months ago, the Government team assumed before Murcia all the commitment that the high speed would not reach the city of Murcia if the burial works had not been started before.

Today, two months later, we can say that this is already a reality. "

However, the mayor stressed that "this responsibility does not stop today but will continue day by day in the permanent and continuous monitoring of these works, in the fulfillment of all the commitments made: dates, deadlines, quality of the work ..., so that these 600 million euros, the largest investment ever made in the history of this city and of this Region will really transform the city, eliminating barriers and generating social and economic progress in the neighborhoods, which is the true end of this performance".
