Felipe Coello, Councilor for Sports and Health, presented this morning with Sonia Lorca, from the Adapted Swimming Club of Murcia, the Regional Adapted Swimming Open and that will be held this Saturday at the Mar Menor municipal swimming pool from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm .
A total of 70 swimmers, with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities, will participate in this event, which will include the Fuensanta Club, the La Costera Club and the Acuariun Club as well as the Fundown Association.
Participants can register for free up to a maximum of three events and relays.
The competition tests will be 100 meters back, 100 meters breaststroke, 100 meters butterfly, 100 meters free, 100 meters styles, 15 meters free, 25 meters free, 50 meters back, 50 meters breaststroke, 50 meters butterfly, 50 meters free and 4x50 relay.
Coello stressed that "these competitions allow you to enjoy sport without any limitations, being the swimmers an example of effort and improvement.
So from the Department that I direct, I will continue to support and help year after year to encourage adapted swimming and this Open that celebrates its third year of life.
