The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Murcia (UMU), of which the professor Gaspar Ros is dean, will celebrate tomorrow, November 17, the Day of Food Safety with an act that will take place in the Almudí Palace from the 11:00 hours

A round table will be held with the intervention of Ros and Blas Marsilla, academician, and representatives of other institutions Begoña Patiño, Jesus Carrasco and José Fernández, along with the councilor of Sports and Health of the city of Murcia, Felipe Coello.

In this activity, together with the city council, the Technological Center of the Preserve, the Food Bank and the Autonomous Community, among other organizations, collaborate.

At the end of the round table, recognition will be given to the Food Bank, in the person of its president, Bonifacio Fernández.

On the occasion of that Day, in the vicinity of the Almudí will be installed tents, one of the town hall and another of the UMU.

In the latter, students from the Association of Students of Science and Technology of Food will intervene as monitors.

Also, the aforementioned dean will intervene in the presentation of the book Gastronomy versus Nutrition, which will be held on November 23, at 7:30 p.m., in the auditorium of Cajamar.

The book has been written by Isabel Goñi and Joaquín Pérez.
