Councilor for Youth, Rebeca Pérez, attended this morning the presentation of the IX Manga Salon and the Japanese culture, Murcia Remanga, which will be held on November 24, 25 and 26 at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium.
An event in which Javier Celdrán, Regional Minister of Culture of the Region of Murcia, Antonio Álvarez, Hall Director and Juan Álvarez, Coordinator of the event, was also present.
This is a new edition, the ninth, of a consolidated cultural event not only in the city of Murcia, but nationally, and which expects the attendance of 35,000 people.
Some figures that make it the third manga show at national level (after Barcelona and Madrid) and the first in Europe in relation to visitors and population.
"This year the City Council, through the Department of Culture, increases its degree of involvement and collaboration with the Manga Exhibition to allow its growth to continue being possible, we are talking about one of the great cultural events and with the greatest repercussion in total Region of Murcia and that will suppose a very considerable economic injection for the hotel, catering, transport or shops of the municipality during all that week, "said Rebeca Perez during the presentation.
Among the novelties highlights the presence of Yuji Muto, director of the series Shin Chan, will be the guest of honor.
He will give lectures and sign portals of the famous character, the celebration of two Rock concerts, Taiko performances, traditional Japanese drums, or a tribute to the well-known Dragon Ball series, which will delight the audience.
In addition, as in previous editions, different workshops, talks, exhibitions, videogames, contests, etc. will be held.
Added to this is the presence of large publishers who come for the first time to Murcia (Norma, Ivrea, Panini, Selecta Visión) or the launch of a Manga reading space hand in hand with the Regional Library, Magnateca.
And all this in a space that this year increases to accommodate visitors and activities.
Therefore, the great performances will take place in the Víctor Villegas Auditorium, which joins the annex and the environment so far used.
The program exceeds 350 activities and will feature an area of ​​artists and illustrators nationwide, as well as a space dedicated to Japanese culinary culture.
The influx forecasts exceed 35,000 people, with more than 15,000 visitors from outside the Region.
Of the total of attendees, two out of three come from the municipality of Murcia or from the rest of the towns in the Region.
They are joined by more than 2000 students in school visits to more than 20 educational centers and institutes in different municipalities of the Community.
