The City of Murcia, through the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation led by Rebeca Pérez, collaborates with the NGO Solidarity Responses in a project that aims to raise awareness among school children in the municipality of Murcia on a responsible and supportive consumption while show the social reality of countries in a clear situation of inequality.
To this end, a series of lectures has been scheduled for students in 5th and 6th grade of primary and 3rd and 4th year of ESO, with a duration of 45 minutes in which an animated story is projected showing the situation through which thousands pass. of women in poverty, for the first almost, and of a video that projects the reality of economic, social and cultural underdevelopment, in the second group.
"The objectives of these meetings, possible thanks to the financial support of the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, revolve around bringing the students of the reality of those living in poverty, establishing a debate about the social economy and promote the culture of solidarity consumption ", explained Rebeca Pérez.
To this is added the open competition for all participants in which they can present a video, photo or drawing that reflects the different possibilities of solidary help, through daily gestures, which are available to everyone.

Last Thursday, November 9, a visit was made to the school Nuestra Señora de los Buenos Libros, on November 13 to the Nicolás de las Peñas center and the 14th to the Nelva School.
Ahead is the CEIP San Juan on the 16th, the CEIP La Flota on Friday the 17th, and on Monday the 20th the CEIP Andrés Baquero and the 27th the IES El Carmen.
In January the activity will be resumed with the CEIP Kingdom of Murcia and other centers that join the project.
