Under this motto, the campaign is based on which Traperos de Emmaus aims to help the insertion of people at risk of exclusion and that today has materialized with the installation of a container-box in the Río Segura Library.

An act in which the Councilor for Education, Rafael Gómez, has been present.

That is the philosophy of librostraperos.com, an initiative of Traperos de Emmaus of the Region of Murcia, a web currently has more than three thousand titles, organized in different and attractive sections to facilitate consultation, and is updated daily with all the donated books.

"It should be noted that this initiative, which was launched in 2016, is an online portal for the sale of second-hand books, donated by all the people who actively support the Association's aims: to generate social and employment alternatives for the insertion of people at risk of exclusion through the recovery and reuse of used materials ", explained Rafael Gómez.

With the installation of mailboxes in the libraries of the Municipal Network of Libraries of Murcia, the network of collection points for bibliographic material for the web's funds is extended, which will be extended to other cultural enclaves of the region.

Interested persons can deposit read books to give them a new life in the container that is installed in the Rio Segura Library, as well as buy books in the portal librostraperos.com, to contribute to the circular economy project.

In addition, the booktravels.com project plans to complement its cultural and solidarity action with a series of activities to promote literature (creation workshops, meetings with authors, reading clubs, etc ...), developed with the collaboration of volunteers , and aimed at disseminating and consolidating this initiative among the society of Murcia.
