The Contracting Committee has advanced today in three cases related to the improvement of road safety in the municipality, whose total amount amounts to 1.7 million euros (VAT excluded).
These are the maintenance, preservation and new implementation contracts for horizontal and vertical signage, the supply of materials for signaling and beaconing of traffic in Murcia and districts and the traffic light installations in various roads.
The first two have passed the process of studying the assessment report of the economic proposals and the requirement of administrative documentation.
The hiring of the maintenance service, maintenance and new installation of horizontal and vertical signage, will be carried out in the next two years, went out to tender with a cost of 1,222,809 euros, and will be awarded to the UTE API Mobility SA-IMESAPI SA, with a drop of 22.55%.
The same procedure has advanced the contract for the provision of materials for signaling and beaconing in Murcia and districts, whose budget was 396,694 euros and will be contracted with API Mobility with a 32.48% low.
Thirdly, the Contracting Committee, chaired by the Councilor for Finance, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, and with the assistance of representatives of the municipal groups, has agreed to propose the awarding of the traffic light installations in various routes to Murciana de Tráfico SA with a cost of 121,888 euros.
The works will consist of the installation of traffic lights and the extension of pedestrian crossings proposed by the Traffic Service technicians, municipal boards, as well as by individuals.
They will be developed in integrated areas in the road network of the urban area where it is necessary to make compatible with pedestrians, adopting surveillance, control and traffic regulation measures that improve road safety and mobility.
