The Conference of Deans of the faculties of Psychology of the Spanish Universities, that has met in the University of Murcia (UMU), has shown his interest in appearing in the Congress of the Deputies in the frame of the paper of studies on the pact educational.
To this end, a request for an appearance has been sent and, with this in view, opinion and analysis will be requested from the Departments of Evolutionary Psychology and Education of the universities on the problems and needs that could be addressed in an efficient way in terms of cost-benefit for society by educational psychologists.
In the course of the meeting it was also agreed to prepare a report-guide on the problems that begin to arise with the empirical investigations with humans or with animals in the framework of the Final Degree Projects (TFG) or Final Master's Projects (TFM) , doctoral theses and others and the increasing demand to have the approval of the ethics committees of the research of the different universities or possible ethics subcommittees in the centers of Psychology.
In the open session of the meeting of deans, the "complicated and diverse" current situation of regulated and unregulated professional areas in Psychology was debated and the advisability of having university professors teaching in the degree of Psychology and, in addition, have the title of Psychologist / specialist in Clinical Psychology of positions related to the practice of Clinical Psychology in public, private or private health centers.
Specialized training and professional opportunities in the field of Legal and Forensic Psychology were also discussed.
The Conference was organized by the Faculty of Psychology of the UMU, whose dean is Professor Agustín Romero.
