The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the president of the Murcia Association for the Care of Diabetes (Adirmu), Asunción Sáez Sánchez, and the councilors of Health and Sports, Felipe Coello, and Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, presented today the program of events on the occasion of World Diabetes Day to be held on November 14.
This year the association has proposed an ambitious goal: to beat a Guinness world record, in particular, that of bicycles circling one by one in a race that will take place this Sunday, November 12, with a start at 09.00 a.m. Prince of Asturias (next to the Zig-Zag), under the motto 'Pedalea por la diabetes'.

The race is a route of 4 km by bike or on foot to which all Murcia are invited to join to raise awareness about the prevention and treatment of this disease that has a high incidence rate in Murcia.
The complete itinerary is Avenida Principe de Asturias, Juan de Borbón, Juan XXXIII, Ronda levante, Plaza Circular, Avenida de la Constitución, Fuensanta Plaza and Avenida de la Libertad.
