The Editor of the University of Murcia (EDITUM) has published a work on the transfer of water from the reservoir of Negratín, in Granada, to Cuevas de Almanzora, in Almeria, of which the professors of this teaching institution are Encarnación Gil Meseguer and José María Gómez Espín.

The publication, with which the company Aguas del Almanzora collaborates, indicates that the infrastructures of this connection allow not only to distribute water from the Guadalquivir to the Almanzora, but also to be able to carry out, according to needs, a redistribution of flows in the Basin itself from the last batch.

And he adds that throughout these years, more than 24,000 hectares of different irrigation communities of Granada, Almeria and Murcia have benefited from this transfer of water.
