On Friday, November 3, at 12:30 a.m., the presentation of the LeoCMN e-book lending platform will take place at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Antigones building.
On behalf of the UMU, Antonio Juan García Fernández, Vice-Rector for Research;
Juan Antonio Pastor Sánchez, Library Coordinator, and Pablo Pérez Ballester, Area Manager of the University Library, while on the part of the UPCT will be Mathieu Kessler Vice-Chancellor of Information and Communication Technologies, and María Ángeles García del Toro, Director of the CRAI Library Service.
A representative of the company ODILO SL will also attend
LeoCMN is a platform for lending e-books to users of the Campus Mare Nostrum.
It is developed by the company ODILO SL, and allows users of the University of Murcia and Polytechnic of Cartagena the loan of electronic books and audiobooks.
LeoCMN allows access to the catalog and loan works in digital format to read them on different devices: tablets, smart phones, personal computers or e-book readers.
It is also possible to access the platform through a mobile application (leoCMN).
There is a catalog of common contents for the users of the two universities, consisting mainly of a collection of audio books oriented to language learning, from which it is also possible to download the textual format, so that the user can listen to the audiobook and at the same time. Time to read the text in the original language.
This catalog also contains books with transversal contents.
In addition to the common catalog for the two universities, users have two catalogs with the recommended books in the different teaching programs of each university.
