Since yesterday, the exhibition "School notebooks: between text and image" can be seen in the foyer of the Faculty of Education.
There will remain exposed until November 4.
Organized by the Center for Studies on Educational Memory of the University of Murcia (CEME) and the Faculty of Education, the exhibition is part of the actions of the research project "Image and education: Marketing, marketing, didactics (Spain, 20th century) ) "sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
The exhibition was curated by professors José Damián López Martínez, María José Martínez Ruiz-Funes and Encarnación Sánchez Jiménez.
The initiative has been possible thanks to the collection of the funds of the CEME of the UMU, close to a thousand copies of school notebooks.
It is addressed to teachers and, in general, to teachers of any educational level, undergraduate and graduate students of the degrees taught by the Faculty of Education and interested public.
The sample includes panels that combine explanatory texts and images mostly from school notebooks, to inform the visitors of the exhibition, the types of notebooks, the origin and dissemination they had, how they were structured, what illustrations contained , etc.
The exhibition is completed with the edition of a catalog published by Edit.um.
