The councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, has presented this morning the new call for grants aimed at owners of empty homes in the municipality with the aim of renting them at adjusted prices.
The purpose, explained during his appearance, "is to create a housing stock to subsidize, and thus facilitate the rent to families whose economic resources prevents them from accessing the free market." In parallel, it is intended to encourage owners to incorporate their houses to this stock market and in this way encourage the housing rental market ".
It should be noted that the plan has a double aspect.
On the one hand, it is aimed at people who own vacant homes in Murcia, in order to make them available for rent, temporarily, offering them advantages for this in the face of the inconveniences of keeping them unused.
On the other hand, the program is intended for families in the municipality who have difficulties in accessing a dwelling on a rental basis at the price of the free market.
In a first phase, the owners of the houses will be subsidized in order to form the aforementioned stock exchange and in successive phases the subsidy will also be extended to the tenants.
At this point, "the aid can not exceed € 3,650, which will be used to refurbish the home, the payment of a multiple insurance guarantee to cover part of the costs of home insurance and insurance in the event of non-payment of rent and the payment of the certificate of energy efficiency of the house ", clarified the councilor.
Rafael Gómez has also presented the channels through which the residents of the municipality can access the aid.
The telephone of the Housing Service is 968358600 (in the extension 57035) and sending an email to the emails: murciaalquila@ayto-murcia.es , www.murcia.es/murcialquila or www.aytomurcialquila.es .
They can be consulted in full the regulatory bases of the program as well as the legal requirements that involve the subsidies.
Finally, note that after the request for the subsidy, a technical delegation will make an inspection visit to the house and issue a report on it, both in a favorable or unfavorable sense.
3,200 euros is the maximum cost of the works that need to be done to condition the house, as long as it is repairs of masonry, locksmith and glassware, carpentry and blinds, painting, plumbing and electricity.
The large holders of housing, such as banking, financial or similar entities, will not be subject to this subsidy.
Grant applications will be submitted within 20 calendar days of publication in the BORM of this call.
