The Service of Parks and Gardens, dependent of the Department of Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, that directs José Guillén, through the concessionary company STV Gestión, continues with its policy of saving of water in the maintenance of the zones green.
Guillén explained that "for this we return in the fall to reduce the water that is applied in the parks and gardens of the municipality in a computerized way from a management system that allows us to decide how much water reaches each zone through drip irrigation , aspersion or diffusion. "
This program allows the irrigation of plants, trees and green areas but with a lower consumption of water due to a lower evapotranspiration of the water, fewer hours of sunlight, and an efficient use of automated irrigation systems.
According to the councilor "this technology allows to have more than 600 automated systems, which will be expanded soon, so that it is possible to review and control any possible problem of existing water and be analyzed, in real time, by specialists.
This adjustment of irrigation water will be maintained, according to forecasts, until the end of next February.
