From now on, it will be the students of the University of Murcia (UMU) who decide the destination to give to the surplus that is produced in the patron saint festivities, some of which are attended by more than 7,500 people.
This is reflected in the regulatory regulation thereof that has been approved by the UMU Governing Council and which has been presented by the Vice Chancellor of Students, Internationalization and Sports, Professor Carmen Ferrándiz.
Ferrándiz has said that this new legislation supposes an exercise of transparency and of responsibility on the part of the students, who support it.
The regulation gives greater prominence to the student delegations of each center, regulates the sale of tickets, which will be done by the UMU's telematic means and establishes a series of filters so that the parties attend only students of this institution, each one of which you can buy two tickets.
Among the regulating principles of these recreational activities, the regulations state that they must be respectful of the principle of equality between women and men and with the rest of the ethical values on which the university community rests.
In the course of this session, which takes place in the Faculty of Communication and Documentation, in the Espinardo campus, the Vice Chancellor of Economy, Sustainability and Campus Health, José María Abellán, has presented a report on the ceiling financial year, which amounts to 254.7 million euros.
It has also been approved the regulation governing official university degree studies, which has been submitted by the Vice-Chancellor of Planning of Teaching, José Manuel Mira.
Mira has indicated that this new regulation will replace the one approved in 2007 and incorporates those modifications that have been necessary after the legislative reforms that have occurred since then.
In his report, the rector, Jose Orihuela, has announced that a proposal for an electoral calendar will be submitted to a next meeting of the Governing Council.
On that point, he reiterated, as he did last Tuesday in the session of the Senate, that he considers it advisable to advance the elections for the election of rector to the month of March.
To fix them for later, as it happened in his case, creates numerous dysfunctions and generates disadvantages that considers would be eliminated of approving the electoral advance.
