The Plenary of the City of Murcia has given the green light to three files of budget modification totaling 6.2 M € and will allow to finance, among the remaining treasury of the settlement of the Budget of 2016, among other proposals, important actions of a social and improvement of public infrastructures.
Specifically, the first of the files will provide funds - € 1 250 000 - the project to undertake the recovery of the old railroad between Los Dolores and Los Ramos to enable the path of the Southern Coast.
Promoted also by the Department of Development, a series of hydrological and hydraulic projects are financed with 1.2 M € for the execution of works of passage in districts with the objective of avoiding the floods that occur during intense rain episodes and for the construction of a system for the evacuation of wastewater and rainwater in Algezares.
Likewise, it has also approved the file according to which the 61 municipal councils of pedanias will have 1,902,096 euros extra for investments that will decide and approve directly.
Since these are investments, it is not necessary to contract the projects this year, but they can also be executed in 2018 if necessary.
One of the features that define the public accounts of this exercise is the increase in the economic capacity of neighborhoods and districts, both for direct and indirect management, which in these budgets amounts to 71.9 M € which represents 29.17% of the available resources of the City.
The third file approved by the Plenary refers to a budget modification for a credit supplement in the amount of 1,892,000 euros, coming from the settlement of the 2016 budget, of which 500,000 euros will be used to finance various types of aid for coverage of basic needs;
137,013 euros to comply with rulings of the Economic-Administrative Court of the Region of Murcia;
€ 219,853 to cover the costs of executing the judgment of the Contentious-Administrative Court;
800,000 euros for Chapter I expenses, for extraordinary services of the Police, SIX and other services;
and 235,134 euros for aid for the rental of regular homes for families in financial difficulty, which will add up to the 420,000 euros already included in the budgets.
