The International Festival of Puppet Theater in the Region of Murcia, which will take place from 10 to 20 November, will fill with fantasy streets and theaters throughout the region.

A greater number of functions, spaces and participating companies are the hallmarks of the 16th edition of the International Festival of Puppet Theater in the Region of Murcia, which last year recorded more than 10,000 spectators.
On this occasion, there will be 50% more functions and 20 locations, compared to 15 of the previous edition.
The event, which will take place from 10 to 20 November, will include the participation of 14 companies from Madrid, Galicia, Castilla Leon, Alicante, Catalonia and Murcia, along with the international presence of Gaspare Nasuto, from Italy, and a Hispanic production -Norway.
In total the festival will offer 16 shows, which will perform 37 functions, of them, 25 for the family audience, 2 for adults and 10 for the school public during school hours.
In addition, two animated films will be screened, one for children and one for adults.
The program is completed with 8 free street shows that will be displayed throughout the city, offering the opportunity to enjoy the best art of puppets.
The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, who was accompanied in the presentation by Ángel Salcedo, director of the festival, and Juan Pablo Soler, director of Teatro Romea and Circo de Murcia, encouraged to enjoy 'ten days full of magic, fantasy and illusion for all audiences and all ages.
Pacheco explained that 'this event is a fundamental ingredient within the varied and complete cultural offer of Murcia, and responds perfectly to our commitment to meet the wishes and interests of all audiences, all genres and performing arts.
In the case of Murcia, the performances can be followed in the three municipal theaters -Romea, Circo and Bernal-, in the auditoriums of Beniaján, Guadalupe, Cabezo de Torres and Algezares, in the municipal centers Puertas de Castilla and La Arboleja, as well as at the Párraga Center and Pupaclown Scenic Center.
Street shows can also be followed in the Plaza Dentistas Murcianos and Santiago Apóstol in Santiago and Zaraíche, in the artillery barracks garden, in the Pergola of San Basilio, the Garden of the Three Cups and in the squares of the cultural center of Guadalupe and the Teatro Romea.
Non-profit organization
In addition to the organization by Unima and its partners, Titeremurcia receives the sponsorship and the help of the City of Murcia and the Office of Festivals.
The Puertas de Castilla center hosts the Festival's office and the CINE sessions for children and adults will be held in the center's auditorium on Wednesday, November 15 for free.
It also provides financial support to INAEM, and to a lesser extent, ICA, through the Asociarte program.
In addition to these grants, the festival has the support of all the theaters and spaces that bet on scheduling our shows, making it possible for the festival to reach almost 40 activities.
The festival also has the collaboration of media such as La Verdad, Agenda Menuda and La Guía Go and with companies like Titiclothing and Paparajote.
Titeremurcia is an initiative of the non-profit association UNIMA MURCIA (Union of puppeteers), created in 1991 for the promotion and the diffusion of the art of the puppets in our region.
Associated with Unima Spain and Unima Internacional, the latter is recognized by UNESCO for its work in spreading the ancient art of the puppets.
