The Managing Director of the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS), Veronica López, today attended the presentation of a commemorative plaque to Ángel López Candel, a user of a social center for older people Murcia II, 103 years old.
He acknowledged that "this act is a small tribute to the courage and strength that our elders have."
Of the honoree, he emphasized that "he keeps on cycling every day as part of his daily routine and practices gymnastics in the center" and that "he is an excellent example of active aging, which presumes to be the oldest user of the center."
Ángel López Candel was born in Ricote on June 27, 1914 and has been a user of this center since 2001.
