With the title "Indo-American context, genre and classical tradition in a poem by Rosario Castellanos: Lamentation of Dido", will give a lecture at the University of Murcia on Tuesday 24 October, Professor Luisa Campuzano.
It will be at 6.30 pm in Classroom 3.10 of La Merced School.
The initiative is part of the activities of the European Master's Degree in European Comparative Literature (MULCE).
Dr. Campuzano, who attends the UMU invited by professors Chelo Álvarez, Rosa Iglesias and Vicente Cervera, is a Retired Professor at the University of Havana and, among other positions, has been Director of the Casa de las Américas, where she founded and directs since 1994 the Program of Studies of the Woman.
She has been a full professor of the Faculty of Arts and Letters and member of the Scientific Council of the University of Havana from 1977 until she retired in 2000.
Since 1998 he has been running the magazine Revolución y Cultura, and since 2008 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Alejo Carpentier Foundation.
