The new program 'Murcia rents' aims to promote access to housing for families with difficulties to access the free market.
The Governing Board has approved the regulatory bases for the call for subsidies for landlords who make their property available to the program.
After the publication of the announcement in the BORM, the Department of Housing will enable a website with the floor bag so that the interested parties know the offer and can get in touch by their owners.
The City of Murcia launches a new line of aid aimed at owners of empty houses in the municipality with the aim of renting them at adjusted prices.
The purpose is to create a housing stock to subsidize, and thus, facilitate the rent to families whose economic resources prevent them from accessing the free market.
At the same time, it is intended to encourage homeowners to incorporate their houses into this exchange and thus promote the housing rental market.
This was explained today by the Councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, after the Governing Board that has approved the regulatory bases for the call for subsidies for landlords who make their property available to this program.
The plan has a double aspect.
On the one hand, it is addressed to the owners of empty houses in Murcia, so that they make them available for rent, on a temporary basis, offering them advantages for this in view of the inconveniences involved in keeping them unused.
On the other hand, the program is destined to families of the municipality that have difficulties to the access to a house in regime of rent to the free market price.
In a first phase, the owners of the houses will be subsidized in order to form the aforementioned stock exchange and in successive stages the subsidy will also be extended to the tenants.
The aid can not exceed € 3,650, which will be used for housing, the payment of a multiple insurance of guarantees to cover part of the expenses of a home insurance and insurance in case of non-payment of rent and the payment of the certificate of energy efficiency of housing.
3.200 euros is the maximum cost of the works that need to be done to condition the house, as long as it is repairs of masonry, locksmithery and glassware, carpentry and blinds, painting, plumbing and electricity.
Following the application for the grant, a technical delegation will conduct a home inspection visit and issue a report on this, either in a favorable or unfavorable way.
The maximum monthly rent to be paid in the rent can not be higher than € 6.00 / m 2 useful or less than € 3.00 / m 2 , but will only be calculated for a maximum of 90 m 2 useful housing , although it has an upper useful surface.
Large holders of housing, such as banking, financial or similar entities, shall not be subject to this subsidy.
Applications for grants will be submitted within 20 calendar days of the publication in the BORM of this call.
