The mayor Paqui Pérez denounces the lamentable state in which is the water of the Contraparada, Well of Cultural Interest of the orchard of Murcia from which the two largest ditches of Murcia are born

The mayor Ciudadanos Paqui Pérez laments the null will of the PP to stop the deterioration that continues suffering the Huerta de Murcia.

This time refers to the sad and unfortunate state of the Contraparada, a BIC from which the two largest ditches of the municipality are born: Aljufía (north), and Alquibla or Barreras (south).

The councilor of Cs has written to José Ballesta to act as an interlocutor with the bodies responsible for this BIC, the General Directorate of Cultural Property, the Board of Landowners and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation.

"We have asked the mayor of Murcia to intervene in the absence of solutions and the unstoppable deterioration that this BIC is experiencing," Pérez reported, who recalled that "the first damage occurred due to the heavy rainfall last December ".

"At this point we call on José Ballesta to show political will and intermediary with the competent bodies to determine the responsibilities of each and take the necessary measures to restore the BIC and implement a plan of maintenance and cleaning in the environment, It is finished.
