Let us change Murcia has asked the City Council to attend the requests of the mothers of Arab students of the Santa Rosa de Lima school in El Palmar and facilitate the delivery of Spanish for adults in the mornings in that educational center.
The municipal training has explained that at least 70 women have requested that a classroom be set up in this school to learn Spanish in the framework of the courses of the adult school, which until now are developed in the afternoon in the institute Marqués de los Vélez , the other end of El Palmar.
The councilman and the vocal of Cambiemos Murcia, Nacho Tornel and Enrique Baeza, verified in a visit to the school that both the management of the center and the adult school itself are in favor of starting this course in the mornings.
"It is only left to the Autonomous Community to do its part to carry out this initiative that demonstrates the will of the Arab mothers to learn Spanish," said Tornel, who will tomorrow transfer to the Minister of Education, Adela Martinez Cachá.
The mayor also highlighted the great social work that has been carried out for many years in El Palmar to facilitate the integration of different cultures, and therefore believes that to push a measure like the one proposed "there should be no problems."
So far, only three or four Arab women attend the Spanish classes that are taught in the afternoons due to the difficulty of combining their activities.
