A delegation formed by the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) and the Royal and Very Illustrious Cabildo Superior of Guilds of Murcia headed by its presidents José Luis Mendoza and Ramón Sánchez Parra and by the Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture of the City of Murcia, Jesús Pacheco have presented to Ana Pastor, President of the Congress of Deputies, the III International Congress of Brotherhoods and Fraternities, to be held from November 8 to 12 in the Region of Murcia under the title "Saved by the Cross of Christ" .
The meeting, which has taken place in the Hemicycle, has been managed by the national deputy Teodoro García, who thanked the president for the welcome.
The president of the UCAM made him see the international relevance that the event will have, while the president of the Cabildo invited him to attend the events.
During the meeting he was given the figure of a Murcia Nazarene and the councilman of Employment, Tourism and Culture of Murcia explained the characteristics of it.
The president of the Congress, Ana Pastor, considered it an honor to receive the organizers in the Congress of Deputies, stating on the UCAM that has become a university of reference, especially for "their investigations in the field of health."
The act also attended other Murcian deputies like Isabel Borrego, Popular Party, Pedro Saura, Socialist Party, and Miguel Garaulet, Citizens.
Juan María Vázquez, Secretary General of Science and Innovation in the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness;
Marcial Marín, Secretary of State for Education, Vocational Training and Universities;
and José Antonio Galdón, President of the General Council of Graduates in Industrial Engineering Engineering and Industrial Technical Engineers of Spain as well as the directives of the International Chair of Women, Enterprise and Sports of the UCAM María Jesús Bonilla, María Dolores Bolarín and Gemma García-Consuegra .
Programming of the III International Congress of Confraternities
The congress, which will be held from November 8 to 12, has scheduled several presentations, including, among others, the prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, who will participate as a representative of the Vatican or the archbishop of Popayan, in Colombia.
There are also planned exhibitions, Eucharist in different parishes of the Region, a visit to the Basilica of Caravaca de la Cruz to win the Jubilee or the representation of the sacred drama "Jesus of Nazareth" in which the Symphony Orchestra of the UCAM and Choral Discantus that will take place at the Teatro Romea in Murcia.
The Congress will be crowned by the extraordinary Magna Procession "Saved by the Cross of Christ" that will tour the streets of Murcia on Saturday November 11 and will gather steps from different points of the Region such as Murcia, Cieza, Yecla, Jumilla, Caravaca, Santomera and Lorquí.
The first International Congress of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods took place in Seville and the second was in 2007 at the Catholic University, which repeated ten years after being designated as permanent headquarters.
