The Councilor for Town Planning, Orchard and Environment, Antonio Navarro, chaired this morning the Sectorial Council on noise in which have dealt with various issues, including the results of the map of leisure noise in the municipality of Murcia, analysis of the document prepared by the Working Group on the 'Proposal of Good Practices against Noise in the Municipality of Murcia', and the proceedings initiated in the matter of noise during the last exercise.
On the Map of Noise of Leisure, the councilman explained that the scope of action have been the areas of the University - Alfonso X;
San Lorenzo - Santa Eulalia - San Juan and San Pedro.
In order to carry out the study, different measures of continuous noise have been carried out by means of monitoring with stations located in 20 points of the municipality, selected according to criteria of representativeness and density of leisure facilities.
Likewise, we have identified 77 noise sources derived from leisure activities, in which 60 have been terraces and night tables and 17 in areas of accumulation or movement of people.
In addition, 3,600 traveling measurements have been carried out in order to characterize the sources and delimit the zones of leisure noise (214 measurements).
As it has been concluded as a result of the study, the acoustic quality objectives are exceeded in certain times and zones.
There are three stages of exceeding the limit in intervals of 5 decibels.
The generality, when overcoming occurs, is in the lower part, not reaching 5 decibels.
Once these results are obtained, the next actions will be the drafting of the zonal plans and the approval of ZPAE (Zones of Special Acoustic Protection).
All the information of the noise maps will be incorporated in a GIS (Geographical Information System) so that it can be consulted by citizens who wish to do so.
On the other hand, the sectoral council has also studied the files filed in the field of noise last year and has analyzed the joint inspection campaign to local leisure sector in the city center, between Plaza de Santa Eulalia, Plaza Universidad and San Lorenzo, which was carried out in recent months with the participation of several municipal services and that have allowed to review about 70 premises.
