The building of Convalescence, headquarters of the Rector of the University of Murcia (UMU) today hosted the presentation of the sponsorship agreement between this institution and Murcia CF
The agreement states that the T-shirts of all its base teams will wear the name of the UMU, according to the corporate logo that will be provided by it.
Its duration will be one year, although the signatories of the agreement, the rector, Jose Orihuela, and the president of Real Murcia CF, Raul Moro, have shown their desire to renew it in successive seasons.
The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of Students, Carmen Ferrándiz, and the Sports Activities Service of the UMU, Aurelio Olmedilla, who recalled that this collaboration with the sports club is not new, since in 2014 an agreement was signed collaboration whose main purpose is to cooperate in training and research activities.
Olmedilla added that the link between Murcia CF and UMU is also visible with the fact that players from the same study in this institution.
The Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Arturo Díaz, stressed the importance of the two social groups behind the organizations that signed the agreement that was presented today.
For his part, the representative of the Patronage Foundation Real Murcia, Deseado Flores, and the Club president, Raul Moro, have highlighted the linking of the UMU and the entity that the latter chairs.
Finally, the Rector has made a defense of sports practice, commenting that the same, as with Music, is consubstantial with the formation of the human being.
He also announced that the UMU will host tomorrow, Wednesday, the Gala of University Sports and a new session of the seminars of the rector, which will also have as content the theme of Sport.
Orihuela has concluded that "Sport helps us and complements us."
The event was also attended, among others, the Vice Chancellor of Research, Antonio Juan Garcia.
