Students of the Catholic University of Murcia will be able to do summer courses in Egypt, to finish postgraduate courses in Great Britain, those of law to complete their studies in the USA or those of Medicine to practice in Brazil.
These are some of the numerous agreements that a UCAM delegation has closed at the European Association for the Internationalization of Education (EAIE) Annual Congress and Exhibition, the world's largest competition in higher education, thus multiplying the possibilities of mobility of its students, recruitment of international students, joint educational and research projects or work practices in foreign companies.
The meeting, held this year in Seville, closed its doors on Friday after three days of intense activity among its more than 6,000 participants.
The delegation of UCAM, headed by the Director of Institutional Relations, José Luis Mendoza García, and the Vice-Rector of International Relations, Pablo Blesa, has held meetings with representatives of business schools and service providers from more than 300 universities, giving a new impetus to the internationalization of the UCAM.
According to Blesa "ours has been one of the universities with more activity, our teaching offer has been very well received and we have been very competitive."
Among others, it is worth mentioning the agreement with the Delaware Law School (Widener University) so that the students of Law of the UCAM can study in the US one semester and obtain the degree by both countries, and with the Pontificia Universidade Católica do Paraná (Brazil) to foment the mobility of the students of Medicine, being able to do internships in hospitals of that country.
With the University of Cairo Misr International University, a summer course in Egypt has been closed, which students of the UCAM will attend for free;
with universities in the USA, Great Britain and France, double degree agreements have been ratified;
about thirty students from the Autonomous University of Chile will hold their doctoral theses at UCAM and students from the University of Hamburg will hold executive training courses at the Jeronimos.
