This new title of UCAM will be the only official in Dance to be taught in Spain, will have a duration of three academic courses and will also offer the student the possibility, during the career, to specialize as a Graduate University Graduate in Choreography and Interpretation, Performing Arts, Spanish Dance and Flamencology and in Pedagogy of Dance.

This degree has already been accredited by ANECA and authorized by the Ministry of Education, while the Autonomous Community now addresses its implementation, to start classes this same course.

The inclusion of this title in its academic offer is one of the great novelties of the Catholic University of Murcia for the course 2017-18, being also a historical step for dance in Spain, since it represents a recognition from the academic field of Higher Education.

Thanks to this degree the dancer will be able to cultivate his mind, his critical capacity and reflection, and to know well everything that surrounds this millennial art.

One of its strengths is that students will have the opportunity to obtain, in addition to the official degree, a title of University Graduate in the specialties of Spanish Dance and Flamencology, Performing Arts, Choreography and Interpretation and Dance Pedagogy .

These are titles of their own, 30 credits, which will be taken online.

The Degree in Dance of the UCAM is aimed at people who already have the Medium Professional Degree of Dance or students who have finished the Baccalaureate and who have a certain base of dance.

In addition, thanks to the numerous international agreements of the UCAM, students can take part of their studies in other universities in Europe, as the curriculum has been developed following the European model that is already implemented in universities in other countries.

Dance Company of the UCAM: in continuous growth

A real possibility that opens for the students of this degree is to participate in the Company of Dance of the Catholic University of Murcia.

Agreements and collaborations with schools and associations

Due to the activity of the Dance Company, this degree is born with very interesting added values ​​as collaborative agreements with the School of Dramatic Arts to practice. In addition, the School of Dance Flexión has been associated with the UCAM in what is a bet to 'create quarry' of dancers and practice.
