The women's team Murcia 1919 Tennis Club is closer to achieving the promotion to the top category by national tennis teams.
Alba Castellanos, as well as Alba Castellón, Alvarez Pérez, María Cánovas and Paola Moreno, with Rafael Castellanos as captain, have qualified for the decisive stage after winning the qualifying round, in which they competed against the Cartagena team MDZ Tennis Club, Real Club Nautico de Tenerife and Villa de Madrid and they completed without losing any game.
The final phase will be played on 30 September and 1 October in Valencia.
In it, the three other winning teams from the other three previous phases will also participate: Spanish Tennis Club, Cercle Sabadellés and Tennis Club Tarragona.
The draw made by the Spanish Federation has determined that the Murcia Tennis Club will face in the semifinals to Cercle Sabadellés.
The qualifiers are played to the best of five points, with the dispute of four individual matches and, if necessary, one of doubles.
The winner of this final phase will automatically go up to the first category, while the runner-up will have the right to play a promotion tie with the same goal.
The Murcia Club de Tenis seeks, in this way, that its two absolute teams militate in the first division of national tennis as the men's team is already among the 8 best in the country.
In fact, Murcia will host in November the next Championship of Spain, which will bring together some of the best national players in the city.
